Calgary International Airport Terminal

The Calgary Airport Authority spent many years of extensive planning and collaboration with multiple partners prior to the Calgary International Airport’s International Facilities Project (IFP) grand opening in the Fall of 2016. Dialog Design struck the perfect balance with an ultramodern design that minimizes its overall environmental footprint.

Alcotex^® fire rated (FR) core material was selected to be used extensively for the exterior envelope, interior applications as well as the Marriott Hotel which is strategically located between the existing and new terminal. There was in excess of 800,000 SF of Metallic Medium Grey and Metallic Champagne supplied on the project over a 4 year period. The length of the construction schedule combined with the Metallic colors required a great deal of coordination of multiple color batches to ensure maximum color consistency on the project.
